Public Transport
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line to Shijo Station. Transfer to the Keihan Main Line and get off at Tofukuji Station. Exit Tofukuji Station and walk east towards Tofuku-ji Temple. Continue straight until you reach Imakumano Tsuruginomiyacho Street, then turn left. Tsurugi Shrine is located at number 13. The walk from Tofukuji Station takes about 15 minutes. Subway fares range from ¥220-360. Keihan Line fares vary depending on the distance.

From Tofuku-ji Temple, head east. Walk along the road until you reach Imakumano Tsuruginomiyacho Street. Turn left onto Imakumano Tsuruginomiyacho Street. Tsurugi Shrine will be on your left at number 13. The walk is approximately 15 minutes.

Taxis are readily available throughout Kyoto. The taxi fare from Kyoto Station to Tsurugi Shrine is approximately ¥1,500-¥2,000, depending on traffic. The starting fare for a taxi in Kyoto is ¥500 for the first 1.5km, with additional charges of ¥100 for every 279 meters.
