Car
If you are driving, take Route 42 from Kumano Kodo towards Asuka. Continue on Route 42 for approximately 30 km. Look for signs directing you to Asuka as you approach the area. When you reach Asuka, follow the signs to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tenmu and Empress Jitō at 45 Noguchi, Asuka, Nara 634-0145. There is parking available nearby. Note that there may be a small parking fee, so prepare some change.

Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
To reach the Mausoleum using public transport, first take the Kintetsu Limited Express train from Kumano Kodo to Asuka Station. The train journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately ¥1,500. Once you arrive at Asuka Station, exit the station and take bus number 70 towards 'Asuka Historical Museum.' Get off at the 'Noguchi' stop, which is about a 10-minute ride. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tenmu and Empress Jitō. Follow the signs directing you to the mausoleum.

Walking (from Asuka Station)
If you prefer walking from Asuka Station, leave the station and head northwest on Route 165. Continue straight until you reach a junction, then turn left onto Route 42. Follow Route 42, and after about 1.5 km, you will see signs for the Mausoleum. This walk takes approximately 30 minutes.
