Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Shinkansen (bullet train) or JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Station, transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and take the train towards Nakamozu. After 3 stops, get off at Namba Station. Upon exiting Namba Station, follow the signs for the exit towards 'Namba Parks' or 'Dotonbori'. Hozen-ji Temple is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Head south on Namba Walk and continue straight until you reach the main road, then turn right. Hozen-ji Temple is located at 1 Chome-2-16 Namba, Chuo Ward.

From Kyoto Station, you can take the JR Bus bound for Osaka. The bus departs from the Kyoto Station bus terminal. After approximately 1 hour, you will arrive at Osaka's Namba area. Once you disembark, head towards Namba Walk, which is a covered shopping arcade. Walk straight through Namba Walk, then turn right when you reach the main road. Follow the road until you see Hozen-ji Temple at 1 Chome-2-16 Namba, Chuo Ward.
