    Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line (the express train) towards Nara. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Get off at Nara Station. Once you arrive at Nara Station, exit the station and head straight towards the main road (Sanjo-dori).

    Walk

    From Nara Station, walk straight along Sanjo-dori for about 10 minutes. You will pass by several shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Noborioji-dori. Turn left onto Noborioji-dori and walk for another 5 minutes. The Nara National Museum will be on your right at 50 Noboriojicho.

    Bus

    Alternatively, from Nara Station, you can take the Nara City Loop Bus (the green line). Board the bus at the Nara Station bus terminal and get off at the 'Nara National Museum' stop. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs to the museum entrance.
