Public Transit
Start your journey at Kyoto Station. From the station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Ride for 4 stops and get off at Shijo Station. Exit the station towards Shijo-dori Street. Walk west along Shijo-dori for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Karasuma-dori. Here, continue straight for another 300 meters until you see a small street on your right. Turn right onto this street, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Tenshō-ji Temple, located at 522-4 Tenshojimaecho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto.

Walking
If you are already near the Kyoto Imperial Palace, you can walk to Tenshō-ji Temple. Head south towards Marutamachi Street. Turn left and walk east until you reach the intersection with Karasuma-dori. Turn right and continue south until you reach Shijo-dori. Then, turn left and walk east on Shijo-dori for about 400 meters until you see a small street on your left. Turn left here and follow the street for a short distance until you find Tenshō-ji Temple.

From Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 205 or 17. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Tenshoji' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk east for about 5 minutes, crossing the main road, and you will find Tenshō-ji Temple located at 522-4 Tenshojimaecho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto.
