Car
If you're traveling by car, start from any major city in Kyushu and head towards Nagasaki. Use the Kyushu Expressway, which connects various cities on the island. Once you get closer to Nagasaki, take the exit for Nagasaki City. Follow signs towards the city center and then to Dejimamachi. The Deputy Factor's Quarters is located at 6-1 Dejimamachi, Nagasaki, 850-0862. There is parking available in the vicinity, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around 300-500 yen per hour.
Train
For those using public transportation, take the JR Limited Express from your starting point in Kyushu to Nagasaki Station. This journey can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on your starting location. Upon arrival at Nagasaki Station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Board the tram on Line 1 that heads towards 'Nagasaki Ekimae.' Get off at the 'Dejima' stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Deputy Factor's Quarters. Follow Dejima Road until you reach the historical site at 6-1 Dejimamachi.
Bus
If you prefer buses, you can take an express bus from major cities in Kyushu to Nagasaki. The bus ride will take about 3 to 5 hours. Once you arrive at the Nagasaki Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and walk to the tram stop nearby. Board tram Line 1 towards 'Nagasaki Ekimae' and disembark at the 'Dejima' stop. The Deputy Factor's Quarters is a short 5-minute walk from there. Follow Dejima Road to reach your destination.
