Car
If you're driving from Fukuoka, take the Fukuoka Expressway towards Nagasaki. Exit at the Nagasaki Expressway and follow signs to Hirado. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Hirado, follow Route 202 to Iwanouecho. Hirado Castle is located at 1458 Iwanouecho, Hirado, Nagasaki 859-5121. There is parking available near the castle, which is usually free.
Train and Bus
From Fukuoka, take the JR Hakata Line to Nagasaki Station (approximately 2 hours). At Nagasaki Station, transfer to the JR Seaside Line towards Sasebo and get off at Haiki Station. From Haiki Station, take a local bus (Nagasaki Seaside Line) to Hirado. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the Hirado bus terminal and walk about 15 minutes to reach Hirado Castle at 1458 Iwanouecho, Hirado, Nagasaki 859-5121. Total travel time is around 4 hours. From Sasebo, take a ferry to Hirado. The ferry takes about 40 minutes and operates regularly. Once you arrive at Hirado Port, take a local bus to Hirado Castle.
