By Car
If you're driving to Huis Ten Bosch, take the Nagasaki Expressway (Nagasaki Shiden) and head towards Sasebo. Once you approach Sasebo, take the exit for Huis Ten Bosch. The park is well-signposted, and you will see directional signs leading you directly to the entrance. The address is 1-1 Huis Ten Bosch Machi, Sasebo, Nagasaki 859-3243. Parking is available at the park, but be aware that there may be a parking fee of around 1,000 yen for a day.
By Train
To reach Huis Ten Bosch by train, first head to Hakata Station in Fukuoka. From Hakata Station, take the JR Sasebo Line towards Sasebo. This train ride will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sasebo Station, transfer to the Huis Ten Bosch train (a direct train service) which takes about 20 minutes to reach Huis Ten Bosch Station. The station is located right outside the park entrance. A one-way ticket from Hakata to Sasebo costs around 4,000 yen.
By Bus
If you prefer traveling by bus, you can take an express bus from Fukuoka. Buses leave from the Tenjin Bus Terminal to Huis Ten Bosch and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the bus terminal and cost around 3,500 yen one-way. The bus will drop you off at the Huis Ten Bosch bus stop, which is just a short walk to the park entrance.
By Ferry
For a scenic route, consider taking a ferry from Hakata Bay to Sasebo. The ferry ride takes about 2 hours and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Once you arrive at Sasebo, you can take a local bus or taxi to Huis Ten Bosch, which is about a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal. The ferry ticket costs approximately 5,000 yen for a one-way trip.
