Car
If you are driving, take the Kumamoto Expressway and exit at the Aso Interchange. From there, follow Route 57 towards Takamori. Continue on Route 57 for approximately 20 km until you reach Takamori town. Once in Takamori, follow local signs leading you to Takamoridon Cedars located at 3341-1 Takamori, Aso District, Kumamoto 869-1602. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation (Train + Bus)
Take the JR Hohi Line from Kumamoto Station to Aso Station. This journey will take about 30 minutes. From Aso Station, transfer to the Nishi-Aso Bus line towards Takamori. The bus ride takes approximately 25 minutes. Disembark at Takamori Station and follow the local signs towards Takamoridon Cedars, which is about a 15-minute walk (1 km) from the station.
Public Transportation (Bus Only)
From Kumamoto, take a direct bus operated by Kyushu Sanko Bus to Takamori. The bus departs from Kumamoto Bus Terminal and the journey takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takamori, follow the signs to Takamoridon Cedars, which is located at 3341-1 Takamori, roughly a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
