Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Nagato, take Route 191 heading southeast. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 2. Merge onto Route 2 and follow the signs for Shimonoseki. After around 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Tsunoshima Bridge. Follow the signs for Tsunoshima Bridge Observatory. The observatory is located at 3444-8 Hohokucho Oaza Kanda, Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi 759-5331. Parking is available nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    From Nagato, head to Nagato Station and take the JR San'in Line towards Shimonoseki. The train ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at Shimonoseki Station. From there, take a taxi to Tsunoshima Bridge Observatory, which is about 20 kilometers away. Taxis can be found outside the station and the fare should be around 3,000 yen. Alternatively, you can take a local bus heading toward Tsunoshima, but check the schedule as they may not run frequently.
