If you are traveling by car, head to National Route 191 from central Nagato. Follow Route 191 north towards Hagi. After approximately 30 minutes, turn left onto Route 435. Continue for about 10 minutes until you reach Kibekami. The Cat Temple (Unrinji) is located at 2489 Kibekami, Hagi, Yamaguchi. Look for signs along the road. There is parking available at the temple.

To reach Unrinji by public transportation, first take a bus from Nagato Station to Hagi Station. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once at Hagi Station, transfer to the local bus bound for Kibekami (check the local schedules for current routes). Alight at the Kibekami stop. The temple is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs to 2489 Kibekami, Hagi, Yamaguchi.
