Walking
The Miyajima History and Folklore Museum is located within Miyajima town, a short walk from Itsukushima Shrine and the ferry terminal. From the ferry terminal, walk along the main street towards Itsukushima Shrine. After exiting the shrine, continue a short distance further; the museum will be on your left. The walk from the ferry terminal takes approximately 15 minutes.

Public Transport
Miyajima Island is accessible by ferry from Miyajimaguchi. From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (25 minutes, 420 yen, covered by the Japan Rail Pass). Alternatively, take tram line number 2 from central Hiroshima to Miyajimaguchi (70 minutes, 240 yen, not covered by the Japan Rail Pass). From Miyajimaguchi Station, walk to the ferry pier (5 minutes) and take the ferry to Miyajima (10 minutes, 200 yen one way plus 100 yen visitor tax). The Japan Rail Pass is valid on JR ferries. Once on Miyajima, it is a 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal to the museum.
