Getting There

  • Train

    From Nagoya Station, take the subway on the Higashiyama Line (yellow line) towards Fujigaoka. Get off at Chikusa Station (it takes about 7 minutes). At Chikusa Station, transfer to the Meijo Line (purple line) and head towards Nagoya Dome-mae Yada Station. Get off at Mizuho Koen Station (about 4 minutes). Once you exit the station, walk south for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the Nagoya City Museum located at 1 Chome-27-1 Mizuhotori, Mizuho Ward, Nagoya.

  • Bus

    From Nagoya Station, go to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Look for the Meitetsu Bus that goes to Nagoya City Museum. Get on the bus and pay the fare (around 210 yen). The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the Nagoya City Museum bus stop, and you will be right in front of the museum.

  • Walking

    If you prefer walking, you can head south from Nagoya Station. Exit the station and take the Sakuradori Avenue southward. Walk straight for about 3 kilometers (around 40 minutes). You will pass through several local shops and restaurants. Continue until you reach the intersection at Mizuho Ward, then turn left onto Mizuhotori Street. The museum will be on your right.
