Public Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the nearest bus stop, Nara Kintetsu Station. Take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Kyoto Station. Once at Kintetsu Kyoto Station, transfer to Bus No. 100 or 203 towards 'Higashiyama' and get off at 'Eikandō' bus stop. The Eikandō Temple is a short walk from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
Start at Nara Station and take the JR Nara Line to Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line and travel to Shijo Station. At Shijo Station, exit and walk to the bus terminal where you can take Bus No. 100 or 203 towards 'Higashiyama'. Get off at 'Eikandō' bus stop. The temple is a short walk from there.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can walk from Nara Park to Eikandō Temple. The distance is approximately 38 km, which may take around 8 hours. Follow the signs to the 'Nara to Kyoto' walking trail. This route will allow you to enjoy the scenic beauty and landmarks along the way, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
