Getting There

  • Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofuku-ji Station (approximately 5 minutes). Transfer to the Keihan Main Line and take the train towards Demachiyanagi Station. Get off at Sanjo Station (about 8 minutes). Once at Sanjo Station, exit and walk towards the intersection of Sanjo Street and Kawaramachi Street. From there, take bus number 100 or 206 from the bus stop Sanjo Keihan to Nanzenji Eikando-michi stop (around 15 minutes). Walk about 5 minutes to reach Konchi-in, located at 86-12 Nanzenji Fukuchicho.

  • Bus

    If you are near the Kyoto City Bus terminal, take bus number 100 or 206 directly to Nanzenji Eikando-michi stop (approximately 30 minutes). After getting off the bus, walk about 5 minutes along the road to reach Konchi-in at 86-12 Nanzenji Fukuchicho.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of the Nanzenji area, you can walk to Konchi-in. From Nanzen-ji Temple, head south on Nanzenji Fukuchicho Street. Walk straight for about 500 meters, and you will see Konchi-in on your right at 86-12 Nanzenji Fukuchicho.

  • Taxi

    You can also take a taxi from any central location in Kyoto. Simply ask the driver to take you to Konchi-in located at 86-12 Nanzenji Fukuchicho. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
