Walking
If you are in the central area of Kyoto, make your way to Shijo Station on the Kyoto Subway Line. From Shijo Station, exit towards the Gion area. Walk along Shijo Avenue heading east until you reach the intersection with Hanami-koji Street. Turn left onto Hanami-koji Street and continue walking straight. After a short distance, you will see Gion Shinbashi Bridge on your right, just past the entrance to Gion.
Public Transport
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway to Shijo Station. Upon exiting the station, head east along Shijo Street until you reach Hanami-koji Street. Turn left onto Hanami-koji Street and walk straight for a few minutes. You will find Gion Shinbashi Bridge on your right, just past the entrance to Gion.
Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi, simply tell the driver to take you to 'Gion Shinbashi Bridge' (花見小路新橋西). Taxis are readily available throughout Kyoto and can provide a direct and comfortable route to your destination. The ride from Kyoto Station should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
