Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kotsu Bus Terminal located near the Nara Station. Take the Kyoto-bound bus (look for signs for Kyoto). After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the nearest stop to Homman-ji Temple, which is 'Kawaramachi Marutamachi'. From the bus stop, walk north on Marutamachi Street, then turn left onto Tsuruyama-cho. Continue walking straight, and you will reach Homman-ji Temple in about 10 minutes.

Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kyoto Station. This journey takes about 40 minutes. Upon arriving at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line and get off at Karasuma Oike Station. Exit the station, and head northwest along Karasuma-dori. After about a 15-minute walk, turn left onto Tsuruyama-cho. Continue straight for a few minutes until you reach Homman-ji Temple.

If you are near Nara Park, you can walk directly to Homman-ji Temple. Head towards the north exit of Nara Park and follow the signs towards Kyoto, which will lead you to Tsuruyama-cho. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take around 20-25 minutes. Enjoy the scenic route through the streets of Nara as you make your way to the temple.
