Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kintetsu Station. Take the Kintetsu Nara Line train towards Kyoto and get off at Uji Station. From Uji Station, exit and head to the bus stop located outside the station. Take the bus number 20 or 25 towards Gokasho. Get off at the 'Gokasho' bus stop. Hōzen-in Temple is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head east on Sanbanwari street for about 400 meters until you reach the temple.
Train and Bus
From Nara Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto and get off at Uji Station. Once you arrive at Uji Station, head to the bus stop outside the station. Board bus number 20 or 25 towards Gokasho. Get off at the 'Gokasho' bus stop, then walk for about 5 minutes to the east on Sanbanwari street until you see Hōzen-in Temple.
Walking
If you are near Uji Station, you can walk to Hōzen-in Temple directly. Exit Uji Station and head east along Sanbanwari street. Continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer, which should take about 15 minutes. The temple will be on your left.
