    Getting There

    Train

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto. After a short ride, transfer at Yamato-Saidaiji Station to the JR Nara Line towards Kyoto. Get off at Uji Station. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. The JR Uji Ekimae Information Centre is located approximately 5 minutes on foot along the road, at Satojiri−5-9, Uji.

    Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to the nearest bus stop (Nara Koen Mae). Board the Nara-Ken bus heading towards Uji. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the Uji Station stop. After disembarking, walk towards the main road for about 5 minutes; you will find the JR Uji Ekimae Information Centre at Satojiri−5-9, Uji.

    Walking

    If you are near the center of Nara, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Uji. Head south towards the JR Nara Station, where you can catch a train to Uji. Alternatively, from the Nara National Museum, walk towards the main road and follow the signs to Uji. It is about 12 kilometers away, and you can enjoy beautiful views of the countryside along the way. However, this option is recommended only for those who enjoy long walks.
