Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Osaka. Get off at the Ikeda Station. From Ikeda Station, transfer to the Hankyu Takarazuka Line and take a train towards Takarazuka. Get off at the Minoh Station. Upon exiting Minoh Station, follow the signs for Katsuoji, which is approximately a 30-minute walk uphill or you can take a bus that runs frequently towards Katsuoji.
Bus
From Nara, take the Nara Kotsu Bus No. 70, which goes directly to Minoh. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Minoh, follow the signage for Katsuoji, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill.
Walking
If you are in central Nara and wish to reach Katsuoji by walking, first make your way to Nara Park. From there, head towards the Nara National Museum, where you can find the bus stop for the Nara Kotsu Bus No. 70 heading to Minoh. Alternatively, you can walk along the river towards Minoh, which is a longer but scenic route. The walk could take over an hour, so make sure you are prepared.
