Getting There

  • Train

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Yoshino. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Get off at Yoshino Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and follow the signs towards Yoshinoyama. The walk to Koyama Shrine will take around 30 minutes uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a trek.

  • Bus

    At Nara Station, you can take the Nara Kotsu Bus to Yoshino. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 50 minutes. Get off at the Yoshinoyama stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards Koyama Shrine, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.
