If you are in Nara Park, head south towards the main road, Sanjo-dori. From the park, walk straight south until you reach the intersection with Sanjo-dori. Turn right onto Sanjo-dori and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will pass various shops and cafes on your way. Keep an eye out for the signs that direct you towards Naramachi, a historic district. Once you reach the intersection with Nishikido-dori, turn left. Naramachi Shiryo-kan Museum is located at 14-3 Nishinoshinyacho, which will be on your right after a few minutes of walking.
Public Transport
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line and get off at Kintetsu Nara Station. Once you exit the station, head towards the main exit and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the main road, Sanjo-dori. Turn left and continue walking for about 10 minutes. Look for signs indicating Naramachi. When you reach the intersection with Nishikido-dori, turn left. Naramachi Shiryo-kan Museum will be located on your right at 14-3 Nishinoshinyacho.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from Nara Park and head south towards Sanjo-dori. Turn right onto Sanjo-dori and cycle for about 1.5 kilometers, passing through the main street with local shops. When you reach the intersection with Nishikido-dori, turn left and continue for about 300 meters. The Naramachi Shiryo-kan Museum will be on your right at 14-3 Nishinoshinyacho.
