Bus
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line and travel to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus. Take Bus #100 or #206 towards the 'Keage' bus stop. Get off at the 'Okazaki Koen Bijutsukan' bus stop. From there, Okazaki Park is a short 5-minute walk. Head east on Okazaki Saishojicho street, and you will arrive at the park entrance.
Train and Walk
Start at Nara Station and take the Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Kyoto Station. Once at Kintetsu Kyoto, exit the station and head towards the nearest subway station, which is Karasuma Oike Station. Take the Tozai Line towards Daigo. Get off at Keage Station. From the station, walk east on Keage Koen street, and you will reach Okazaki Park in about 10 minutes.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Nara Station. Ride towards Kyoto, following the signs to the Kyoto area. The ride is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace. Once you reach Kyoto, follow the signs to Okazaki Park, which is located in the Sakyo Ward. There are bike parking areas near the park entrance.
Walking
If you’re feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at Nara Park, which is about a 45-minute walk from Nara Station to Kyoto. Follow the main road leading north to the outskirts of Kyoto. Once you reach the city, ask locals for directions to Okazaki Park, which is prominently known and located in the Sakyo Ward, near the Kyoto National Museum.
