Walking
If you are in Nara Park, start by heading north towards Nara Station. Once you reach the station, take the JR Yamatoji Line to Kyoto Station. The journey takes about 45 minutes. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and head to Shijo Station. At Shijo Station, switch to the Keihan Main Line towards Demachiyanagi and get off at Sanjo Station. Exit the station and walk east along Sanjo Street until you reach the intersection at Higashiyama Street. Turn south onto Higashiyama Street and continue walking until you reach Shimokawaracho. Ryōzen Kannon Temple will be on your left at 526-2 Shimokawaracho.

At Shijo Station, switch to the Keihan Main Line towards Demachiyanagi and get off at Sanjo Station.
