    From Nara Park, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Kyoto City Bus #2 or #18 towards Kyoto Station. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Disembark at the 'Shorenin' bus stop. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes to reach Shōrenin Temple, following the signs towards Awadaguchi Sanjobocho.

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto Station. Get off at Tofukuji Station (around 35 minutes). Transfer to the Keihan Main Line at Tofukuji Station, heading towards Demachiyanagi. Get off at Keage Station (approximately 5 minutes). From Keage Station, take Exit 1 and walk for about 10 minutes, following signs for Shōrenin Temple.

    If you are staying in central Nara, you can walk to Shōrenin Temple. Start at Nara Park and head northwest towards Sanjo-dori Street.
