    If you're driving to the Kamikochi Information Center from Matsumoto, start by heading south on Route 158. Follow the signs for Kamikochi, which will lead you through beautiful mountain scenery. After approximately 45 minutes, you'll reach the Kamikochi parking area. Note that there is no direct car access to Kamikochi itself; you will need to take a shuttle bus from the parking area to the Information Center.

    To reach the Kamikochi Information Center via public transportation, take the Matsumoto Dentetsu Kamikochi Line from Matsumoto Station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes to Shin-Shimashima Station. From there, transfer to a bus that will take you directly to the Kamikochi bus terminal. The bus ride is approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal, it's a short walk to the Kamikochi Information Center.
