If you're traveling by car, head to Hachimanyama Ropeway at Miyauchicho, Omihachiman, Shiga 523-0828. From central Omi, take Route 8 towards Omihachiman. After approximately 15 minutes, look for signs indicating the Hachimanyama Ropeway, which will direct you to the parking area. Parking is available near the base of the ropeway; however, a parking fee may apply.

To reach Hachimanyama Ropeway via public transportation, first make your way to Omihachiman Station. You can take a train from major cities like Kyoto or Nagoya, with regular services available. Once at Omihachiman Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take the 'Hachimanyama Ropeway' bus service, which runs regularly. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. The fare is approximately 300 yen one way. The bus will drop you off directly at the ropeway station.

If you are already in the nearby area, you can also walk to Hachimanyama Ropeway. From Omihachiman city center, it is about a 30-minute walk.
