Getting There

Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto. Get off at Yamato-Saidaiji Station (approximately 20 minutes). From there, transfer to the JR West Line and take the train towards Otsu. After about 30 minutes, get off at Otsu Station. Once you arrive at Otsu Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the station.

Bus
At Otsu Station, take the bus number 20 towards Biwako Hall. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Honkatata bus stop. From the bus stop, walk straight for about 5 minutes, following the directional signs towards Ukimi-do, which will be along the shore of Lake Biwa.

Walking
If you prefer walking from Otsu Station, it will take about 30-35 minutes. From Otsu Station, head north on Route 161 towards the lake. Continue walking along the lakeside promenade. Follow the signs for Ukimi-do, which will guide you directly to the temple. Enjoy the scenic views of Lake Biwa as you walk.
