Car
If you're driving, head southeast on Route 8 from central Omi. Follow the signs for Omihachiman and continue onto Route 307. After approximately 20 minutes, you will see signs for Hachimanyama Ropeway. Turn onto Miyauchicho Road and follow the signs to the parking area. There is a parking fee of 500 yen for the day.
Public Transportation - Train
From Omihachiman Station, take the Ohmi Railway Main Line towards Maibara. Get off at the Hachiman-bori Station (approximately a 5-minute ride). From the station, you can take a local bus (Bus number 1) towards Hachimanyama Ropeway, which takes about 15 minutes. The bus fare is around 220 yen. Alternatively, it's a short 25-minute walk if you prefer to explore the surroundings.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you are already in the vicinity, you can take a local bus directly to Hachimanyama Ropeway. Buses run frequently from the Omihachiman city center. Look for the bus heading to 'Hachimanyama' and it will take about 30 minutes. The fare is approximately 400 yen. Make sure to check the schedule as the frequency can vary.
