Car
If you're traveling by car, start from central Omi and head south on Route 1. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 421. Turn left onto Route 421 and follow the signs towards Aishō. After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Kongorinji indicating to turn right onto a smaller road. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach Kongorinji, located at 874 Matsuoji, Aishō, Echi District, Shiga 529-1202. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Kongorinji by public transport, start by taking a train from Omi Station to Aishō Station. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes on the JR Kosei Line. Once you arrive at Aishō Station, exit the station and locate the bus stop for local buses. Take the Aishō City Bus (line towards Matsuoji) and get off at the Matsuoji bus stop. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Kongorinji, which is located at 874 Matsuoji, Aishō, Echi District, Shiga 529-1202. Be sure to check the bus schedule as services may not be frequent.
