Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start at Osaka Station (Osaka's main train station). Take the JR Yamatoji Line (also marked as the JR West line) towards Tennoji. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Yamato-Saidaiji Station. From there, transfer to the Kintetsu Line and take a train towards Asuka Station. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at Asuka Station. Upon exiting the station, take a taxi or walk (about 15 minutes) towards the Mausoleum of Emperor Tenmu and Empress Jitō, located at 45 Noguchi, Asuka, Takaichi District, Nara. The mausoleum is a short walk from the main road.

    From Osaka, head to Namba Station and take the Nankai Main Line to Hashimoto Station (takes about 30 minutes). At Hashimoto Station, transfer to the Nankai Koya Line and get off at Gokurakubashi Station. From there, take the bus towards Asuka (check local bus schedules for exact routes and times). After reaching Asuka, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tenmu and Empress Jitō, which is approximately 3 km away from the bus stop.
