Car
From Owari, get onto the Chūgoku Expressway (中国自動車道) heading towards Matsue. Continue on the expressway for approximately 2 hours until you reach the Oda exit. After exiting, follow the signs for Route 9. Drive for about 20 minutes, and then look for signs directing you to the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. The mine is located at the address Omoricho, Oda, Shimane 694-0305. Parking is available near the site, but be sure to check for any parking fees, which may vary.
Public Transportation
From Owari, take a train from Owari Station to Okayama Station. At Okayama Station, transfer to the Limited Express Yakumo bound for Matsue. After approximately 2 hours, get off at the Oda Station. From Oda Station, you will need to take a local bus (the Iwami Ginzan Line) toward Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The mine is a short walk from the bus stop.
