Car
If you are driving from Owari, head northwest on Route 1 (also known as the Tōkai-Hōkai Expressway) towards Nagoya. Take the exit for Nagoya and merge onto the Route 23 expressway. Continue on Route 23 and follow signs for the Meiji Jingu area. Upon entering Tokyo, follow the signs towards Shibuya. The shrine is located at 1-1 Yoyogikamizonocho, Shibuya City, Tokyo. Make sure to check for parking options nearby, as parking can be limited in the area.
Train
To reach Meiji Jingu via public transportation, start by taking the JR Tōkaidō Shinkansen from Owari Station to Tokyo Station. This typically takes about 1.5 hours. Once at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and head towards Shibuya Station. The journey from Tokyo Station to Shibuya Station takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Shibuya Station, take the Hachiko Exit. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to Meiji Jingu. Follow the signs towards the shrine, which will guide you through Yoyogi Park.
Bus
If you prefer to take a bus from Owari to Meiji Jingu, you can take a Meitetsu Bus from Owari to Nagoya. From Nagoya, transfer to a highway bus that goes directly to Tokyo. The bus ride can take around 5-6 hours. Once you arrive in Tokyo, you can take a local bus or the metro to reach Shibuya Station. From Shibuya Station, it's a 10-minute walk to the shrine. Make sure to check the bus schedules for any transfer requirements and ticket prices.
