If you are near Sapporo Station, head to the Sapporo Subway Station located on the underground level. Take the Namboku Line (green line) towards Makomanai. After 3 stops, get off at Sapporo Station. Exit the station through the North Exit, which is clearly marked with signs. Once you are outside, you will immediately see Sapporo Station North Square directly in front of you. It’s a large open space with greenery and seating areas.
