Getting There

  • Ferry

    The most common approach to Sakurajima is via the Sakurajima Ferry from Kagoshima Port. Ferries depart frequently (every 15-20 minutes during the day) and operate 24 hours a day. The ferry crossing takes approximately 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Sakurajima Port, the Visitor Center is a 10-minute walk.
