Walking
The Costume Museum is located within walking distance of Kyoto Station (approximately 20 minutes). From the station's central exit, head north towards Nishi Hongwan-ji Temple. The museum is on the 5th floor of the Izutsu Samegai Building, just south of the Horikawa Dori and Shin-Hanayacho Dori intersection. Look for signs for the building, as the museum entrance can be easily missed.
Public Transport
From Kyoto Station, take City Bus Route 9 to the Nishi Honganji-mae Bus Stop (230 JPY). The museum is a 3-minute walk from the bus stop. Alternatively, from Sanjō Keihan Station, take City Bus Route 5 to the Karasuma Rokujō Bus Stop (230 JPY), followed by a 10-minute walk.
