Driving
To reach Nametoko Gorge by car, head towards Matsuno Town in Ehime Prefecture. From Matsuyama, take the Matsuyama Expressway and follow signs for Route 56 toward Uwajima. Continue on Route 56 until you reach Matsuno, then take Route 380 towards Nametoko Gorge. Look for signs pointing to 滑床渓谷 (Nametoko Gorge). Parking is available near the gorge. Parking fees are approximately 300-500 JPY per day.

Public Transport
To get to Nametoko Gorge using public transportation, take a train to Matsuyama Station. From Matsuyama, take a local train (Nankai Line) to Uwajima Station, then transfer to the JR Yodo Line. Get off at Matsumaru Station or Matsuno Station. From either station, you can take a local taxi or bus towards Nametoko Gorge. A taxi from Matsumaru Station to the gorge takes approximately 30 minutes. Expect a taxi fare of around 3,000-4,000 JPY. Bus schedules may be limited, so check the local timetable in advance. Bus fare is approximately 500 JPY.
