Car
If you are driving in Suruga, start by heading north on Route 1 (National Route 1) towards Kakegawa. After about 30 minutes, take the exit for Kakegawa City. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 150. Turn left onto Route 150, and follow the signs for Kakegawa Castle. The castle is located at 1138-24 Kakegawa, Shizuoka 436-0079, and you will see signs directing you to the castle parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Kakegawa Castle via public transportation, start at the Suruga train station. Take the JR Tōkaidō Shinkansen Line towards Nagoya, and get off at Kakegawa Station. From Kakegawa Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop for the Kakegawa City Loop Bus. Board the bus heading to Kakegawa Castle. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Kakegawa Castle stop, and you will be within walking distance to the castle entrance.
