From central Tokyo, take the JR Sobu Line to Shin-Koiwa Station. From there, transfer to the JR Joban Line and ride to Kameari Station. The stable is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from Kameari Station. A single subway fare in Tokyo typically costs between ¥100-¥200, depending on the distance. The JR train fare from Tokyo Station to Kameari Station is approximately ¥290.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Tokyo. From Kameari Station, a short taxi ride to Kokonoe-beya Sumo Stable will cost approximately ¥700-¥1000, depending on traffic. Note that taxi fares in Tokyo start around ¥710 for the first kilometer.
Walking
From Kameari Station, exit and head east. Follow the main street, and then turn right at the first major intersection. Continue straight, following signs for local landmarks. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and takes about 20 minutes. No costs are associated with walking.
