Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, you can use a GPS navigation system to get to Sojiji, which is located at 2 Chome-1-1 Tsurumi, Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 230-8686. From Tajima, take Route 9 towards the Tottori Expressway. Follow the signs to the expressway and continue until you reach the Yokohama area. Once in Yokohama, follow local signs for Tsurumi Ward. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared for parking fees which can range from 500 to 1000 yen per day.

  • Train

    If you prefer public transportation, take a train from Tajima Station. Board the train bound for Himeji and transfer at Himeji Station to the Sanyo Line towards Kobe. Once you reach Yokohama Station, transfer to the Keikyu Line and take the train to Tsurumi Station. From Tsurumi Station, it's a short 10-minute walk to Sojiji. The total train fare will be approximately 2,500 yen and the journey may take around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on transfers.

    An alternative public transportation option is to take a long-distance bus from Tajima to Yokohama. Check the local bus schedules for departures to Yokohama. Once you arrive in Yokohama, use the local transport system. You can take the Keikyu Line from Yokohama Station to Tsurumi Station.
