If you're driving to Kamakura Museum in Yokote, Akita, start by entering the Tohoku Expressway (E4) from your location. Depending on where you are in Tohoku, head towards the Akita area. Once you reach the Akita Interchange, take Route 13 towards Yokote. Continue on Route 13 until you reach Route 345. Follow Route 345 and then turn onto Chuomachi where the museum is located. The museum is situated at 8-12 Chuomachi, Yokote, Akita 013-0023. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Kamakura Museum via public transportation, first, find your way to a major train station in Tohoku, such as Sendai or Akita. From Sendai, take the Akita Shinkansen (approximately 1.5 hours) to Akita Station. Once at Akita Station, transfer to the local Yokote Line and take a train towards Yokote Station (about 30 minutes). Upon arrival at Yokote Station, exit the station and take a taxi (about 10 minutes ride) to Kamakura Museum located at 8-12 Chuomachi, Yokote, Akita 013-0023. Expect to pay around 1,500 yen for the taxi fare.
