Getting there

Car

If you're driving to Oyasukyo, start by getting on the Tohoku Expressway. Depending on your starting point in Tohoku, follow signs for the Tohoku Expressway towards Akita. Exit at the Yuzawa IC (interchange). Once you exit, follow Route 13 south towards Yuzawa. After a few kilometers, look for signs directing you to Oyasukyo. It is located at 〒012-0183 Akita, Yuzawa, Minase, Yumoto−５−1. The drive should take approximately 2 to 3 hours from major cities like Sendai or Aomori, depending on traffic. Parking is available near the entrance.

Train and Bus

To reach Oyasukyo using public transportation, first take a train to Yuzawa Station on the Akita Shinkansen line, which connects major cities like Tokyo and Sendai. Once you arrive at Yuzawa Station, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. Board a local bus heading to 'Yumoto Onsen' or 'Oyasukyo.' The bus ride takes about 30 minutes, and you can purchase tickets on the bus. The bus fare is approximately 600 yen. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited during off-peak hours.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route from Yuzawa Station to Oyasukyo, consider taking a taxi. Taxis are readily available outside the station. The journey will take around 20 minutes, and the fare should be approximately 3,000 to 4,000 yen, depending on traffic conditions. This option is convenient if you are traveling with luggage or in a group.
