Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line to Tachikawa Station (approx. 30 minutes, ¥490). From Tachikawa Station, it's a 10-15 minute walk to the Akebono or Tachikawa Gate. Alternatively, take the JR Ome Line to Nishi-Tachikawa Station (approx. 40 minutes, ¥490 from Shinjuku). The Nishi-Tachikawa Gate is a short walk from the station.

    From Tachikawa Station, exit and follow the signs to Showa Kinen Park. The walk to the Akebono Gate takes about 10 minutes, and the walk to the Tachikawa Gate takes about 15 minutes. The path is well-marked and mostly flat.

  • Parking

    Parking is available at multiple locations around the park. The cost is ¥900 per day. Parking areas are located near the Tachikawa Gate and other entrances. Note that parking may be limited during peak seasons and special events.
