In June 2012, Professor Koji Kawahara from Kitakyushu National College of Technology announced at the International Bio Exhibition in Boston that strawberries contain components that suppress allergy symptoms. The professor found that a substance called 'GAPDH' in strawberries reduces the 'IgE antibody,' which triggers allergic reactions. Eating 20 or more strawberries (15g each) continuously for a week or more may have an improving effect.
