Car
If you are driving from Tosa, take Route 56 northeast towards Takamatsu. Merge onto the Kochi Expressway and continue for approximately 70 km. Take the exit towards Nara and follow the signs to Nara Park. The journey will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on traffic. There are parking facilities available near the park, but you may incur parking fees which typically range from 300 to 800 yen per hour.
Public Transportation (Train)
Begin your journey at Tosa Station. Take a train to Kochi Station. From Kochi Station, transfer to the Express Train bound for Nara. The total travel time is about 2 hours including transfers. Once you arrive at Nara Station, you can take a local bus or walk to Nara Park, which is about a 20-minute walk from the station. Be sure to check the latest train schedules as they may vary.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Tosa, you can also take a highway bus to Nara. The bus departs from Tosa Bus Terminal and takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at Nara Bus Terminal, you can either walk to Nara Park (about 15 minutes) or take a local city bus. Bus fares typically cost around 1,500 yen one way.
