Car
From Tosa, take Route 56 towards Kochi. Merge onto the Kochi Expressway (E32) heading north towards Takamatsu. Continue on the expressway until you reach the Matsumoto Junction, then take the expressway exit towards Nikko. Follow signs for Nikko city center. Once in Nikko, follow local signs to Nikkō Tōshogū located at 2301 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation - Train
From Tosa, take a train from Tosa city to Kochi Station. Transfer to the JR Dosan Line towards Okayama and get off at Takamatsu Station. At Takamatsu, switch to the JR Shikoku Line to Okayama, and then take the JR Tōbu Line from Utsunomiya to Nikko Station. From Nikko Station, take a local bus (Nikko City Bus) or a taxi for about 10 minutes to reach Nikkō Tōshogū at 2301 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. Be prepared for bus fares and check the bus schedule for return trips.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Tosa, take a bus to Kochi Station and then catch a highway bus directly to Nikko. The highway bus will take you to Nikko Station. From there, either take a taxi or a local bus heading to Nikkō Tōshogū. Ensure you have local currency for the bus fares, and check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
