From JR Wakasa-Wada Station, the beach is approximately a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and follow the signs towards the beach. The path is well-marked and easy to navigate. No costs are associated with walking.

Public Transport
The JR Obama Line serves Wakasa-Wada Station, the closest train station to the beach. From Kyoto Station, take the Limited Express Maizuru to JR Higashi-Maizuru Station, then transfer to the Obama Line to Wakasa-Wada Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes from Kyoto. The Japan Rail Pass covers this route. Local bus services are also available in Takahama, but walking from Wakasa-Wada Station is the most direct option.

Driving
From the Oi-Takahama IC on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway, the beach is approximately a 12-minute drive. Follow Prefectural Route 16 towards Wakasa Wada Beach. During July and August, parking is available for a fee : * Regular car: 1,200 - 1,500 yen/vehicle * Large buses: 3,000 yen/vehicle Parking is available for approximately 2,000 cars.
