Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Yufuin, start by heading north on Route 210. Follow the signs pointing towards Bungoono. After about 20-25 minutes, you will reach a junction where you will need to turn left onto Route 57. Continue on Route 57 for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Harajiri Falls. Turn onto Ogatamachi Harajiri and follow the road until you reach the parking area near the falls. There may be a parking fee of around 500 yen.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Yufuin Station, take the bus towards Bungoono. The bus service is operated by the Oita Kotsu company, and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. Get off at the 'Harajiri Falls' bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the falls. The bus fare is around 600 yen.

  • Taxi
