Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Bungo and head south on Route 10. Follow the signs towards Takachiho. After approximately 30 minutes, you will enter Takachiho town. Continue on Route 10 until you reach the intersection with Route 218. Turn left onto Route 218 and follow it for about 15 minutes. You will see signs for Amanoiwato Shrine. Turn right onto Iwato Road, and the shrine will be on your left at 1073-1 Iwato.
Public Transportation
To reach Amanoiwato Shrine by public transport, take a bus from Bungo to Takachiho. Buses depart frequently from the Bungo Bus Station. Once in Takachiho, disembark at the Takachiho Bus Center. From there, take a local bus or taxi to Amanoiwato Shrine. The shrine is approximately 10 minutes away by taxi or 15 minutes by local bus. Inform the driver to drop you off at 1073-1 Iwato, where the shrine is located.
