Emanuel Centre: A Cultural Oasis in Jerusalem

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Dead Sea area, start by heading towards the main road that runs parallel to the shoreline, known as Route 90. Depending on your exact location, you may need to find a path or road that leads you to this main route. Once you are on Route 90, follow the signs towards the town of Jericho. After approximately 16 kilometers, look for signs directing you towards Jerusalem. At this point, you will need to catch a local bus or shared taxi (known as a 'service') that goes to Jerusalem. The bus or service will drop you off at the central bus station in Jerusalem.

• Public Transport

  Once you arrive at the central bus station in Jerusalem, look for bus routes that go towards the Armenian Quarter. You can take Bus 1 or Bus 75, which will take you to the vicinity of The Armenian Patriarchate St. Disembark at the stop closest to the Armenian Quarter. From there, follow the signs to The Armenian Patriarchate St. You will need to walk a short distance to reach the Emanuel Centre (Christ Church) located at The Armenian Patriarchate St 55.

• Walking

  After getting off the bus, navigate towards The Armenian Quarter by following the map or asking locals for directions. The church is located within the Armenian Quarter, which is a short walk from the bus stop. You will recognize the area by its unique architecture and cultural atmosphere. The Emanuel Centre is easily accessible, and once you reach The Armenian Patriarchate St, you will find the church located at number 55.
